We also check for part replacements, which can significantly affect a watch's authenticity status and market value even when the core movement is genuine.

Using professional testing equipment, we verify the composition of the metals used in the watch — distinguishing solid gold from gold-plated steel, for example. Where gemstones are present, we use specialist instruments to confirm whether diamonds or other stones are genuine, treated, or synthetic.

In many cases, our appraisers can reach a confident conclusion without opening the watch at all. When internal inspection is warranted — either because of specific concerns or at the customer's request — we carefully open the caseback and examine the movement, verifying that all components are original and consistent with the reference.
